"Families Are Sacred" Community Gathering

  • St. Charles Borromeo Parish 7584 Center Parkway Sacramento, CA, 95823 United States (map)

What This Is About

Families belong together. That's not just our belief—it's our faith. It's our values. It's who we are.

But right now, California taxpayer dollars are being used to fund companies that profit from separating families. Companies connected to immigration detention, deportation, and family separation are getting California subsidies, grants, loans, and tax credits—our money.

On August 24th, we're gathering our community—people of faith, people who care about dignity and justice—to say clearly: we invest in families, not in companies that tear them apart.

We need you there.

What You'll Experience

  • A Personal Story
You'll hear from someone who has lived through family separation. Their story will stay with you.

  • Learn About Real Solutions
Understand AB 2465 and exactly how we can stop our tax dollars from funding family separation.

  • Hear From Senator Ashby's Office
Interim District Director Michael Benjamin will share Senator Ashby's commitment to keeping families togetherand why she's standing with us.

  • Stand in Community
You'll be in a room full of people from different faith traditions, different backgrounds—all united around onebelief: families are sacred.

Who Should Come

Everyone. Your family. Your friends. Your neighbors. People new to civic engagement. Core leaders who inspire others. People who've been organizing for years. People who care about their community and want to make a difference.

Why Your Presence Matters
