Sacred Writings that Guide ACT

Matthew 25: 40

Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.

Surah 5:8

O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from Justice.  Be just:  that is next to piety, and fear Allah.  For Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 67

The light of men is Justice. Quench it not with the contrary winds of oppression and tyranny.

The Baha’i Faith

Isaiah 58: 6-8

No, this is the fast I desire:
To unlock fetters of wickedness,
And untie the cords of the yoke
To let the oppressed go free;
To break off every yoke.
It is to share your bread with the hungry,
And to take the wretched poor into your home;
When you see the naked, to clothe him,
And not to ignore your own kin.
Then shall your light burst through like the dawn
And your healing spring up quickly;
Your Vindicator shall march before you,
The Presence of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
